Skill/Content and Objective: Identify numbers and the corresponding tally marks
Materials - 10 sided die, Number Tic-Tac-Toe worksheet
Description: Student's take turns rolling the die, when they see the corresponding tally marks that match the number on the die, they mark it with an X or an O. The first person that has three Xs or Os in a row wins!
Differentiation: Tic-Tac-Toe spaces can be used with tally marks, ten frames, written numerals, or numbers.
Assessment:
Formative: Look for students counting tally marks in the right sequence and eventually understanding that the tally marks with the line represent five and counting on from five.
Summative: I Can Document
